Musical lineup announced for 2023 Lightning in a Bottle

Jan. 17—The traditional gift for a 20th anniversary is china, but that delicate dinnerware would have no place at Lightning In a Bottle, which this year celebrates two decades of music and festival delights.

Organizer Do LaB this week announced the lineup for the 20th anniversary show, which will run from May 24 to 29 at the Buena Vista Aquatic Recreational Area.

Said to be its largest and most ambitious lineup to date, the event will feature top electronic music performers such as HypnoVision label boss REZZ, genre-defying production duo SOFI TUKKER, and Grammy-nominated electronic producer and singer ZHU, all of whom will play the Lightning stage as will Ozomatli with Chali 2na and Cut Chemist.

The Thunder stage, specializing in electronica's darker side, will showcase electronic trio and Do LaB regular The Glitch Mob, along with Liquid Stranger, LSDream, Deathpact, pioneering drum and bass legend LTJ Bukem with MC Armanni, and '90s rave revival production duo Prospa.

International talent will shine on the festival's Woogie stage, dubbed a "colorful house and techno wonderland." Performers include Afterlife leaders Tale Of Us, Higher Ground and Mad Decent superstar Diplo and German disco and house producer Purple Disco Machine.

LiB will also welcome back festival favorites TOKiMONSTA, Beats Antique, The Polish Ambassador, Random Rab, Argentinian bass sensation El Papachango, live electronic duo Dimond Saints and pioneering bass producer David Starfire. There will also be a special performance by William Close & The Earth Harp Experience.
