Musician Who Died From Coronavirus Featured On Today Show

CRYSTAL LAKE, IL — A Crystal Lake musician who died from the new coronavirus will be memorialized during a segment aired Thursday morning on The Today Show, according to the Northwest Herald. Warren Pohl, 68, of Crystal Lake, died on April 1 and his longtime friend and fellow band member on Bourbon Country will be interviewed and appear on NBC's The Today Show at about 8:15 a.m. on Thursday.

His daughter, Alli Pohl, was also interviewed.

Leggee and Pohl played together in their band for four years and also worked for Musicians On Call, playing at Shirley Ryan Ability Lab and Chicago Methodist Senior Services, according to the Northwest Herald.

“This isn’t a happy thing, but Warren is certainly a life worth remembering,” Leggee told the local newspaper. “I explained the program and how Warren and I did it. Then, we got into the more emotional side of it, what it’s meant to the patients, what it’s meant to us.”
