Muskingum Valley Boy Scouts participate in National Jamboree in West Virginia

ZANESVILLE − Muskingum Valley Council Troop 4324 recently attended the Boy Scouts of America National Jamboree at the Summit Bechtel Reserve in West Virginia. The troop includes 26 Scouts and six adults.

Events included the Base Camp Bash on Friday, where the troop came together for a night of celebration and bonding, and precision and skill-testing activities like tomahawk throwing and apex challenges.

Notably, some Scouts took on the ultimate test of endurance and resilience by participating in the Titan Challenge, a grueling 2-mile trail run with obstacles.

Sunday was a day of respite for the scouts, providing them with an opportunity to recharge their energy and partake in the Hometown Celebration, where scouts shared stories of their hometowns and backgrounds.

The Jamboree served as a testament to the power of scouting, fostering a sense of community and shared values among the scouts. It allowed Troop 4324 members to share in the common goal of personal growth and leadership development.
