Mustard bottle thrown on field after Tennessee baseball's Drew Gilbert ejected
Fans threw trash on the field at Lindsey Nelson Stadium on Friday after Tennessee Vols baseball center fielder Drew Gilbert and pitching coach Frank Anderson were ejected in the bottom of the fifth inning vs. Notre Dame.
Among the items on the field was a mustard bottle.
The mustard bottle along with a golf ball were infamous items that littered the field when fans threw trash on the field at Neyland Stadium during a Tennessee vs. Ole Miss football game in 2021.
Notre Dame led Tennessee 8-2 in the fifth inning of the NCAA Tournament Knoxville Super Regional Game 1 when Gilbert was ejected with one out in the bottom of the fifth inning.

The mustard bottle landed deep in the infield near the first-base line on Friday night.
Charley Collier of FOX Sports Knoxville tweeted a photo of the mustard bottle on the field, and he said, "Why is it always mustard?? Why did someone have mustard so readily available??"

Notre Dame defeated Tennessee 8-6 in Friday's Game 1 of the Knoxville Super Regional.
Tennessee went to 56-8 overall. Notre Dame improved to 39-14 overall.

Game 2 of the super regional is scheduled to start at 2 p.m. ET on Saturday, June 11.
