Myanmar Protesters Urge Central Bank Staff to Join Anti-Military Rallies

Protesters rallied outside the Central Bank of Myanmar in Yangon on February 11 to urge its staff to join the Civil Disobedience Movement amid ongoing demonstrations against the military takeover of the country.

Protests took place outside other branches of the Central Bank, defying a ban on gatherings of more than five people issued by the government on February 9.

The Central Bank’s governors and deputy governors had been replaced following the takeover, according to local media. Credit: @minsuga7263980 via Storyful
