Myers seeking GOP Precinct 3E chair

Feb. 6—Local Realtor and conservative Republican Karen Myers recently announced her candidacy for Precinct 3E chair of the Republican Party of Rockwall County.

Myers grew up in Garland and graduated from South Garland High School. She is married to her high school sweetheart, Johnny Myers, and they are about to celebrate 43 years of marriage. She is a current member of the Rockwall County Republican Women's Club and served as its vice president of membership from 2021 to 2022 as well as having served as a delegate at the state convention for the Republican Party.

Myers is also a member of the Rockwall Historical Foundation and and the Rockwall Women's League, one of the largest service organizations in Rockwall County for nearly five years. She has been a member of Eastridge Church of Christ for more than 30 years.

She said she is running to "give back to and serve my community that I have lived in for nearly 43 years.

"It is extremely important to me," she added. "I believe my current and past service and experience in these organizations make me very qualified to lead my precinct as its chairwoman. I believe it's important that we continue to build a strong Republican Party here in Rockwall and educate people on our core values and conservative principles."
