Mykolaiv region: SSU detained the Head of hromada and the deputy - suspects of treason

Security Service of Ukraine [SSU] officers detained the head of the Pervomaisk Amalgamated Territorial Community (hromada) of Mykolaiv Oblast and the deputy of the Pervomaisk village council on suspicion of treason.

Quote from SSU: "SSU employees in Mykolaiv Oblast recorded illegal activity of the Head of the Pervomaisk Amalgamated Territorial Community (hromada) of Mykolaiv Oblast and the deputy of the Pervomaisk village council concerning committing of treason by them."

Details: Security forces found that local government officials assisted the Russian occupiers. In particular, they helped [invaders] with accommodation in the premises of the villages of Pervomaiske, Zasillia, Bilozirka and Kyselivka of this hromada, also provided them with material and technical resources and food.

It is also known that the traitors prevented the locals from resisting invaders’ troops and defending the village, and also helped the occupiers to carry out subversive activities against Ukraine, as a result of which the village was occupied.

The defendants were detained. They were informed about the suspicion of treason committed by a group of people with prior conspiracy (Part 2 of Article 28, Part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code).

The issue of choosing a measure of restraint is currently being resolved.
