Myles Turner fined $15,000 by NBA for giving 76ers fans the finger
Indiana Pacers center Myles Turner is leaving Philadelphia with a much lighter wallet. Turner was fined $15,000 by the NBA after flipping off Philadelphia 76ers fans during Friday’s game.
The incident occurred with 3:21 left in the second quarter. As Turner headed toward the Pacers’ bench, he gave the crowd a good look at his middle finger. The moment was captured by Fox Sports television cameras.
After the game, Turner apologized to 76ers fans.
Heat of the moment, my emotions got the best of me right there… gotta respect fan bases in every city!
My apologies Philly Fans, looking forward to coming back!— Myles Turner (@Original_Turner) December 15, 2018
It was a frustrating night for Turner. He had major issues guarding 76ers center Joel Embiid, who went off for 40 points and 21 rebounds.
The Pacers were able to overcome Embiid’s efforts, winning the game 113-101. Turner walked away with the win, but it came with a cost.
