Myrtle Beach has 3 of the best dog-friendly beaches in SC, new ranking shows

Take your four-legged friend on your Myrtle Beach-area vacation.

Myrtle Beach, Surfside Beach and Litchfield Beach made Veterinarians.org’s list of top 10 dog-friendly beaches in South Carolina.

If your puppy loves to play fetch in the surf, governments have different rules surrounding animals on the shore.

In Myrtle Beach and Surfside Beach, dogs on leashes can go on the sands any time except between 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. from May 1 through Labor Day. In Litchfield Beach, dogs are welcome on the beach all the time, but must be leashed from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. year-round.
