Myrtle Beach area dominates Golfweek magazine’s list of best South Carolina golf courses
It’s no secret that golf is popular in Myrtle Beach and the Grand Strand area.
The area offers players over 90 courses.
And many of those have made the list of the best public golf courses in South Carolina.
Golfweek magazine released its list of best public courses by state recently. The Grand Strand was home to 12 of the 20 South Carolina locations selected.
Myrtle Beach and North Myrtle Beach had seven of the 20, with The Dunes located at 9000 N. Ocean Blvd. ranked at No. 3.
Other local courses like Tidewater and the Dye course at Barefoot Resort & Golf in North Myrtle Beach, as well as Myrtle Beach National at King’s North and the Grand Dunes Resort Club, were in the top 15.
The rest of the Grand Strand also had several courses make the list. Pawleys Island had two courses selected in the top five with Caledonia Golf & Fish Club and True Blue being ranked third and fourth.
