‘Mythbusters’ host Grant Imahara died from brain aneurysm: report

Grant Imahara, the host of “Mythbusters” and Netflix’s “White Rabbit Project,” reportedly died of a brain aneurysm.

Imahara’s cause of death was revealed by the Hollywood Reporter late Monday after news broke that he had “died suddenly.”

Imahara, 49, replaced host Scottie Chapman on the Discovery science show in the third season and stuck around until 2014, when he left, along with co-hosts Kari Byron and Tory Belleci.

The threesome reunited in 2016 for the one-season “White Rabbit Project.”

“I just cannot believe it. I don’t even know what to say. My heart is broken,” Belleci tweeted. “Goodbye buddy.”

“We had so many adventures,” Byron wrote. “You taught me so much.”

Before joining “Mythbusters,” Imahara, who studied electrical engineering at the University of Southern California, worked for Lucasfilm doing animatronics for high-budget films including several “Star Wars” movies, the “Matrix” sequels, “Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines” and “The Lost World: Jurassic Park.”
