N.C. Highway Patrol: Hit-and-run kills pedestrian in Pender County

A pedestrian was killed in a hit-and-run incident in Pender County on Tuesday night.

According to St. Devin Rich of the North Carolina State Highway Patrol, Ricky Reynolds Graham Jr., 36, of Burgaw, was walking northbound in the southbound lane of U.S. 421 near Malpass Corner Road around 8:30 p.m. when he was struck by the mirror of a pick-up truck.

Rich said the driver fled the scene.

Law enforcement is now looking for the vehicle. Rich said the year of the truck is sometime between 2015 to 2019, and it is either a Chevy Silverado or a GMC Sierra 2500 or 3500 HD.
