N. Koreans lay floral tributes for Lunar New Year

STORY: In the footage provided by the North's official news agency KCNA, which Reuters cannot independently verify, Pyongyang residents, officials and soldiers were seen laying flowers and bowing in front of statues of North Korean founder Kim Il Sung and late leader Kim Jong Il on Mansu Hill.

Video also showed Pyongyang residents in face masks walking on the streets decorated with North Korean flags and propaganda posters.

Earlier this week, North Korea's parliament outlined plans to normalize industrial production and meet its economic goals this year, despite the "worst-ever upheaval" amid the coronavirus pandemic in 2022.
