NAACP banquet this Thursday

Nov. 6—To help in its mission of sustaining civil rights and social justice advocacy, the Greenville Branch of the NAACP is hosting its Freedom Banquet this Thursday.

Titled "Unified Through Justice, Not One Step Back," the program will feature Rev. Michael Waters as its keynote speaker.

Waters currently serves as senior pastor at Abundant Life African Methodist Episcopal Church in Dallas and is the author of a recently published children's book titled, "Liberty's Civil Rights Road Trip."

The banquet will begin at 6 p.m. this Thursday at Clark Street Christian Church at 1404 Clark St. in Greenville, and will include a performance by the Clark Street Christian Church Male Chorus. Requested attire for the event is formal.
