Yogis looking for a larger community to practice with can do exactly that during the upcoming International Day of Yoga celebration this Saturday, June 22.
Organized by the Embassy of India in Manila and the National Youth Commission, the event offers free yoga sessions to attendees in various locations around the country.
Here in Manila, the wellness event will be held at the Music Hall at SM Mall of Asia in Pasay City from 11am to 2:30pm. Beyond the mat, attendees are also invited to an Indian vegetarian food festival that will be held right after the yoga session.
Those interested can register online and get a free t-shirt and water bottle, to boot.
A similar event was held in Cebu City yesterday, which was reportedly attended by over 300 people. There will also be a similar event held in Davao City.
Organizers also launched a photo contest that asked participants to share photos of themselves doing yoga poses. Winners will be announced in the SM Mall of Asia event on Saturday. They can win yoga books and prizes from Speedo.
