PORTSMOUTH — MVSB (Meredith Village Savings Bank) welcomes David McMahon as Branch & Business Development Manager at the Bank’s Portsmouth office at 2839 Lafayette Road. McMahon will oversee day-to-day operations at the location, assuming the role of Jim Carrigan, who was recently promoted to Regional Vice President.

“David’s prior banking experience, leadership style and customer service skills made him an excellent candidate to lead this Portsmouth team,” said Carrigan. “I know he is eager to hit the ground running and help continue to grow MVSB’s presence in the Seacoast region.”

“MVSB has a longstanding reputation of caring for their customers, businesses and employees and it is an honor to be a part of that,” said McMahon. “I am excited to work with this amazing team, build on existing community relationships and help develop new opportunities.”

McMahon brings more than 10 years of banking experience. He also serves the community as a member of the Portsmouth Rotary Club. He resides in Rochester with his fiancée Lindsey and their dog Walter.

Rochester Chamber names 2023 Board of Directors

ROCHESTER — The Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce announces its Board of Directors for 2023.

Officers for the organization in 2023 include Chair of the Board – Kerrie Landry, COGEBI, Inc.; Chair-Elect – David Richard, D.F. Richard Energy; Vice Chair, Governmental Affairs – Paul Gatehouse, Independence Financial Advisors; Vice Chair, Membership – Amy Brown, Yankee Electric & Co.; Vice Chair, Events & Fund Raisers – Caitlyn Turgeon, HBL Insurance; Treasurer – Sharla Rollins, First Seacoast Bank and Immediate Past Chairman – Janet Oliver, Unitil.

New directors recently elected to the board to serve a three year term beginning in 2023 are Dr. Deepa Reddy, Deepa Reddy DMD, PLLC; Wink Faulkner, Jaeger USA, Inc.; Kendall Spewock, Admiral Property LLC; and Sue Willson, Potter’s House Bakery & Café.

Other members of the Chamber’s board of directors are Blaine Cox-City of Rochester, Brian Dickie-Eversource, Mark Farrell, Laars Heating Systems, Lauren Jerr-R.W. 2023 Chairman of the Board, Kerrie Landry of COGEBI and board members will be formally introduced to the Chamber’s membership at the Chamber’s Annual Meeting Breakfast that will be held on Friday, April 7, from 7:30 to 9 a.m. at the Frisbie Memorial Hospital Community Education & Conference Center in Rochester.

Plan NH name two new Board Members

PORTSMOUTH – Plan NH has named Nichole Davis and Steve Hebsch, Jr. to its Board of Directors. Nichole is a Vice President and the Creative & Development Director at Hoyle, Tanner & Associates, Inc. of Manchester, and Steve is a Healthcare Project Architect at Lavallee Brensinger Architects of Manchester.

“We are extremely excited about Nichole and Steve becoming Board Members for Plan NH,” said Tiffany Tononi McNamara, Executive Director of Plan NH. “Nichole and Steve have both contributed to our organization in a number of ways, and we look forward to their service in both advancing and supporting our mission to improve New Hampshire’s communities.”

Nichole currently serves as the Chairperson for the Marketing and Communications Committee as well as a member of the Merit Awards Committee for the organization. She is committed to increasing awareness of the benefits that Plan NH provides to communities and our partners throughout the state through strategic marketing and communications. Nichole says that “the Board’s enthusiasm for the work that Plan NH does in the community,” was what initially drew her to get involved with the organization. Nichole is a respected member of the AEC industry, as she serves on committees for the American Council of Engineering Companies of New Hampshire (ACEC-NH), the New England Water Environment Association (NEWEA), and the American Public Works Association (APWA) New England Chapter, among others.

Steve is a lifelong New Hampshire resident who has a passion for improving the built environment while also preserving its natural environment. His experience with Plan NH dates back nearly a decade, as Steve applied for and was awarded scholarships in 2015 and 2016 through the organization’s Scholarship and Fellowship Program - a program that recognizes and honors outstanding students who call New Hampshire home and are studying a field that supports the Plan NH mission such as architecture and engineering. Steve says, “Plan NH helped me through college with numerous scholarships when I needed the help most. It’s an honor to now be on the other side, helping award funds to deserving students and strengthening New Hampshire’s communities.” Steve currently serves as a member of both the Charrette Committee and the Scholarship Committee for Plan NH.

Nichole and Steve are both excited to be serving their first term on the Plan NH Board of Directors.

Alan Brown joins Newburyport Bank as AVP, Business Development Officer

DOVER — Alan Brown has joined Newburyport Bank as Assistant Vice President and Business Development Officer in the Dover, N.H. office. His responsibilities will include developing and expanding the Bank’s consumer financial products, as well as overall business development strategy. He will report to Lisa Stonesifer, Vice President, New Hampshire Regional Manager.

Just prior to joining Newburyport Bank, Brown was Small Business Consultant for Paychex. Prior to that he held diverse banking roles at Kennebunk Savings Bank with locations in both New Hampshire and Maine. Brown attended both Newbury College and the New England School of Banking. He is active in the community serving on the Board of Community Action Partnership of Strafford County. He and his family reside in Rochester, N.H.

“Expanding the New Hampshire market is a crucial part of the Bank’s growth strategy and one where we have invested substantially,” said Stonesifer. “And Alan complements our team nicely with his many years of financial services experience in the New Hampshire area. That experience will serve both the Bank and the needs of our customers quite well and we’re happy to have him on board.”
