Big Frog Custom T-Shirts & More opens in Seabrook
SEABROOK – Big Frog Custom T-Shirts & More, a full-service custom apparel decorating shop with Direct-to-Garment printing, has opened in the Southgate Plaza at 380 Lafayette Road, Seabrook. With more than 100 shops in the chain, this is the first shop in New Hampshire.
Mark Fernald, a New Hampshire native and graduate of Londonderry High School, owns the new shop which employs two full-time designers. Always a bit of a serial entrepreneur, he became interested in custom apparel after a “nightmare” ordering process at one of his previous businesses, a CrossFit gym. He needed to create custom apparel for his clients but found the process immensely cumbersome and frustrating.
He realized the demand would be high for a custom apparel business with great service, and with easy ordering, often 24-hour production turn around, free design assistance, as well as a system-wide commitment to local communities in which shops are located, Big Frog was a perfect business fit for Fernald. He opened his new shop in mid-October.
“In just our first weeks, we’ve done gear for schools, basketball and cheerleading teams and we’re looking forward to supporting many other area non-profit initiatives,” Mark said. “Honestly, helping out in my community was a big factor in me joining Big Frog. That’s a major focus of the brand as a whole and I wanted to give back in my own community. This is a perfect way to do that while running a successful business.”
