House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s husband Paul Pelosi pleaded guilty to a driving under the influence Tuesday, and was sentenced to five days in jail.

Judge Joseph Solga also sentenced Pelosi to three years probation, a $1,723 court fine, a three-month DUI program, and $4,927.53 in “victim restitution for medial bills and lost wages as well as a standard $150 restitution fine.”

Pelosi will receive credit for the two days he already served in jail as well as two days for conduct credit, leaving one day to be served through a court work program, according to CNN.

Due to Pelosi’s plea, Solga dismissed his second charge of driving with .08% blood alcohol level or higher causing injury.

Eighty-two-year-old Pelosi was arrested with a DUI in May after getting into a car accident in California. He was booked into the Napa County Detention Center for DUI, with his bail set at $5,000, TMZ reported.

A representative for Pelosi said he had been at a dinner party that night at a friend’s house and drove home in the evening — a trip which was a “short distance away.” He was alone in the car and was “fully cooperative” with the police, according to CBS.

Pelosi pleaded not guilty earlier in August.

The California Highway Patrol released photos and video footage of Pelosi’s arrest, showing damage to his hands and the vehicles involved in the crash.

Pelosi is heard telling a police officer he had a “glass of wine before dinner” and “one glass of champagne,” and that he was drinking between 7 and 8 p.m.

Officers “observed objective signs and symptoms of alcohol intoxication,” and Pelosi had red, watery eyes and appeared “unsteady on his feet,” according to Fox News.

The other person in the crash, only identified as John Doe, complained that he was suffering headaches, had difficulty lifting things with his right arm, and claimed he had pain in his neck and right shoulder, according to the outlet.
