Nancy Reagan statue unveiled at Reagan library in Simi Valley, celebrating centennial

As part of a yearlong Nancy Reagan centennial commemoration, a statue of the late first lady by American artist Chas Fagan was unveiled Tuesday at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library & Museum in Simi Valley.

It is the first statue at the library of Nancy Reagan by herself, without husband Ronald Reagan, who served as president from 1981-89.

Earlier this month, the U.S. Postal Service unveiled a Nancy Reagan centennial stamp at the White House in Washington D.C.

The late first lady was born in 1921 and died in 2016 at age 94. Her husband was born in 1911 and died in 2004 at age 93.
