An autopsy report confirms that country singer Naomi Judd died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

The 76-year-old’s April 30 death by suicide came a day before she and her daughter Wynonna were inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame for recording tunes like “Give a Little Love” and “I Know Where I’m Going.”

Judd’s autopsy revealed prescription drugs used to treat PTSD and bipolar disorder were in her system at the time of her death. Her family confirmed Friday their matriarch was being treated for those ailments.

We have always shared openly both the joys of being family as well its sorrows, too,” a statement from the Judd family reads. “One part of our story is that our matriarch was dogged by an unfair foe.”

Her family said in May that the Kentucky native, born Diana Ellen Judd, had shot herself.
