After defeating Serena Williams in the Australian Open semi-finals, Naomi Osaka used her global platform to send her sister a message about her texting habits.

Following Thursday’s match, the 23-year-old participated in a brief interview, before taking part in a tradition that sees match winners sign the glass of the tournament camera.

However, Osaka added her own twist to the ritual, instead writing a brief note to her older sister Mari, in which she asked her in blue marker to “stop sending weird messages”.

“Mari stop sending weird images in the groupchat!” the three-time Grand Slam singles champion wrote, before signing her name, smirking, and walking away.

The message was revealed to the amusement of viewers, who applauded the tennis champ for the relatable display of siblinghood.

“Nothing radiates sibling energy more than @naomiosaka calling out her sister to stop sending weird things in the group chat on international television,” one person tweeted.

Another joked: “Naomi Osaka sending a love note to her sister on the broadcast camera is absolutely the energy we love to see.”

As for the “weird” messages that Osaka wants her sister to stop sending, Mari shared one example on her Instagram Stories, according to a screenshot captured by USAToday’s For The Win, which saw a person’s tongue licking another person’s eyeball.

Osaka’s latest drawing comes after she signed her name and doodled a cat drawing, which she later declared was “ugly,” following her match against Hsieh Su-wei.
