Naomi Watts, Hugh Jackman among celebs feeling the pressure of lockdown

Naomi Watts shared a hilarious spoof video admitting she was feeling the pressure of lockdown after her dishwasher and vacuum cleaner broke down.

The Impossible star is among a string of celebrities – including Hugh Jackman and Madonna – revealing on social media that even the stars can find social isolation during the coronavirus crisis a struggle.

Watts, 51, shared a slow motion video of her primal screaming captioned: “Quarantine Day #756: When your printer, vacuum cleaner and dishwasher all break in the same day.... #ffs”

The mother to sons Sasha, 12, and Sammy, 11 – whose father is actor Liev Schreiber – previously admitted she had been stress eating, posting a picture of herself eating a whole cake with her hands, captioned: “Eat your feelings.”

Meanwhile, Hugh Jackman revealed he has resorted to running up and down the concrete stairs of his 15 storey apartment block in New York in a bid to keep in shape.

The 51-year-old X-Men star – famous for his rippling muscles as anti-hero Wolverine – replied to tennis star Roger Fererer on Twitter, after the Wimbledon champion asked his followers how they are training at home.

Jackman quipped: “We don’t have a tennis court. But, we do have a lot of these!” as he shared a clip of him self running up and down the dingy staircase.

Jackman has previously been pictured cycling the streets of New York wearing a protective mask.

Madonna, 61, has shared pictures of herself keeping her “Quarantine Diaries” on a vintage typewriter, as well as a video of her leading her five-year-old adopted daughters Stella and Estere in a gruelling dance routine in her own private studio.

She can be heard shouting: “Let go! Work it. Arms up! Booty!” as she choreographs the routine which sees the girls strut and show off their dance moves.

Madonna wrote: “We dance to lift our Spirits!!”

The singer previously shared a video of herself in the bath musing about the effects of the coronavirus pandemic on the world.

Frozen star Kristen Bell has admitted that she and husband Dax Shepard had been arguing a lot during self isolation.

She told Entertainment Tonight: “We’ve gotten on each other’s last nerve these last couple days. We’re doing much better now because we’re laughing about it. But when we were not laughing about it for the first couple of days, that’s the hard spot.”

The 39-year-old star The Good Place has been in a relationship with the Parenthood actor for 12 years and they share two daughters six-year-old Lincoln and five-year-old Delta.

But the 30-year-old TV presenter this week tried to lift her spirits by donning furry ears and a painted black nose to dress up as a wolf, and created her own music video to B*Witched hit C’est La Vie, which she shared on her Instagram stories.

Other stars to have turned to social media to channel their creative frustrations include Robbie Williams, who donned his famous Rock DJ underpants for a Tiger King theme workout.

And Liam Gallagher recorded himself washing his hands while singing various Oasis songs, as well a swearing a colander on his head.
