Naperville Coronavirus Update: 157 New Cases In Past Week

NAPERVILLE, IL — The number of coronavirus cases in Naperville has increased by 157 cases in the past week in DuPage County, according to information from the DuPage County Health Department (DCHD).

As of Jan. 5, there had been 5,251 cases reported in the DuPage County portion of Naperville. The total number of cases reported in Naperville as of Jan. 12 was 5,408 per DCHD.

September through January coronavirus case count in Naperville:

  • Sept. 2: 1,016

  • Sept. 9: 1,127

  • Sept. 16: 1,191

  • Sept. 23: 1,251

  • Sept. 30: 1,296

  • Oct. 7: 1,356

  • Oct. 14: 1,455

  • Oct. 21: 1,577

There have been a total of 115 coronavirus-related deaths in Naperville since DCHD began tracking coronavirus statistics.

As of Jan. 5, nearby Lisle had reported 1,314 total cases of the new coronavirus. Those numbers had increased to 1,406 as of Jan. 12.
