Naperville Coronavirus Update: 60 New Cases In Past Week

NAPERVILLE, IL — The number of coronavirus cases in Naperville has increased by five percent with 60 new cases in the past week, according to information from the DuPage County Health Department (DCHD).

As of Sept. 30, there had been 1,296 cases reported in Naperville. The total number of cases reported in Naperville as of Oct. 7 was 1,356.

September through October weekly coronavirus case count in Naperville:

  • Sept. 2: 1,016

  • Sept. 9: 1,127

  • Sept. 16: 1,191

  • Sept. 23: 1,251

  • Sept. 30: 1,296

  • Oct. 7: 1,356

At press time, there were four active coronavirus cases in Naperville, according to DCHD. The total number of coronavirus-related deaths in Naperville has been 39 since DCHD began tracking coronavirus statistics.

In nearby Lisle, the number of coronavirus cases had also increased by 5 percent. As of Sept. 30, the village had reported 315 total cases of the new coronavirus. Those numbers had increased to 330 as of Oct 7.

To date, there have been a total of eight coronavirus-related deaths in the village, DCHD reports. According to the DCHD website, there were no active coronavirus cases in Lisle as of Oct. 7.
