A cult classic film is set air in February at the Louisville Memorial Auditorium, with the stars that brought it to life in the audience.

It's been nearly 20 years since "Napoleon Dynamite" made its debut on the silver screen. Cast members Jon Heder, Efren Ramirez and Jon Gries are kicking off 2023 by bringing a viewing of the quirky comedy to the auditorium in Old Louisville on Feb. 4 and will follow the showing that Saturday night with a "lively, freewheeling, moderated discussion," according to the event webpage.

You may have forgotten some key plot points since the movie debuted in 2004. Here's a quick refresher ahead of the showing (first-time viewers be warned, plenty of spoilers are ahead):

Napoleon Dynamite, played by Heder, is a "listless, alienated" high schooler in rural Idaho who links up with the new kid in town, Pedro, played by Ramirez. Napoleon spends the movie dealing with the antics of Uncle Rico, played by Gries, who comes to watch Napoleon and brother, Kip, after their grandma is injured. Kip adds to the family drama with a burgeoning online romance with LaFawnDuh while Napoleon has an on-again, off-again flirtation his friend Deb, who ends their friendship after Uncle Rico's attempt to her a, um, personal product. Eventually, grandma returns, Pedro is elected class president thanks in part to Napoleon's sweet dance moves, Kip and LaFawnDuh get married and ride off together, Uncle Rico breaks his arm and Napoleon goes back to playing tetherball with Deb.
