NASA Mars Helicopter Flies 'Faster and Farther' on Third Flight
NASA said its Ingenuity helicopter completed a third flight on Mars on Sunday, April 25, flying faster and farther than in tests it went through on Earth.
NASA said the helicopter took off at 4:31 am EDT and rose 16 feet, the same altitude as its second flight, and then “zipped downrange 164 feet, just over half the length of a football field, reaching a top speed of 6.6 feet per second.”
