NASCAR schedule starts with Daytona, returns to North Wilkesboro, invades Chicago streets

DAYTONA BEACH — Now that NASCAR is done Clashing, the schedule shifts to regular-season, points-paying mode and yes, that starts right here in Daytona Beach.

After the formalities of pole qualifying and the Bluegreen Vacations Duel at Daytona next Thursday, the Arca, Craftsman Truck, Xfinity and Cup Series will all start their seasons with races at the World Center of Racing.

For Cup drivers, it will be but the first of 36 events with 26 regular-season races and a 10-race, postseason finale. Jammed in the middle is an All-Star Race revival at historic North Wilkesboro Speedway. It will be the NASCAR’s first event at the .625-mile short track since 1996 with Jeff Gordon going to Victory Lane.

Also returning to the slate is Chicago, but not the 1.5-mile Chicago Speedway, but a 220-mile run through the city’s streets.

Here is the full schedule of 2023 events in NASCAR’s Monster Energy Series complete with times and television assignments.
