Nashua NH therapist accused of sexually assaulting underage patient
A Nashua, New Hampshire therapist is accused of sexually assaulting an underage patient several times.
The Nashua Police Department said in a release on Thursday that a parent reported her child was inappropriately touched by Mark Phillips, 56, in October 2021.
Investigators said it was determined that Phillips sexually assaulted the child multiple times and threatened them to make them comply.
“During the course of the investigation, it was learned that Mark Phillips began inappropriate gestures with the juvenile. And it slowly progressed to inappropriate touching and eventually sexual assaults which occurred over a prolonged period of time,” said Lt. Peter Urban.
The state has since revoked Phillips’s license to practice.
According to police, Phillips, was arrested on Wednesday and charged with aggravated felonious sexual assault-pattern. He was released on bail and is expected to be back in court on August 25.
Nashua police encouraged any other potential victims to come forward.
