Recently, the State Legislature passed a law that would assure continued taxpayer funding of faith-based foster care and adoption agencies even if they exclude LGBT families and others based on religious beliefs. House Bill 1689 was filed to limit students to playing on a sports team that corresponds to their gender at birth.
