Add Roman Josi to the list of Nashville Predators unfit to play because of injury.

The team's captain left Saturday's overtime loss against the Winnipeg Jets after the first period and did not return.

He missed Sunday's game against the New York Rangers and was listed as day-to-day by the team with an upper-body injury.

"No one can fill Roman's role," Predators coach John Hynes said. "You have to divide it up the best you can."

"He's one of the best defensemen in the league," forward Cody Glass said. "He carries a lot of our offense, breaking up pucks he's really good at. So it was an opportunity for some guys, good spots for guys to get better in different situations and kind of build our game going into the final stretch (of the season)."

Josi joins Ryan Johansen, Filip Forsberg, Alexandre Carrier, Ryan McDonagh and Juuso Parssinen on the sideline.
