Nashville Predators to honor Covenant School shooting victims, families Saturday and for rest of season

The Nashville Predators will wear shoulder patches bearing The Covenant School seal in honor of those affected by Monday's shooting at the school.

The Nashville Predators will wear patches of The Covenant School's seal on their shoulders for the rest of the season in honor of those affected by Monday's shooting at the school that killed three students and three staff members.

The jerseys will be signed by players and auctioned off at the end of the regular season through the Predators Foundation.

The Predators have other plans in place for Saturday's game too.

The team will wear "Smashville Strong" shirts as they enter Bridgestone Arena ahead of their game against the St. Louis Blues. More than 1,000 of those shirts also will be available at the Predators Foundation table in Section 106 for $20. The team will sell "Smashville Strong" helmet stickers at the same table for $5.

In addition, coaches and broadcasters from both teams are expected to wear red and white ribbons, The Covenant School's colors. There also will be a moment of silence before the game in honor of those who lost their lives, their families and The Covenant School community.

The team is encouraging fans to wear white and red to show support for the school.
