Nashville road closures begin Friday for Gov. Bill Lee's inauguration

Nashville road closures for Gov. Bill Lee's inauguration ceremony for his second term will begin downtown as early as 5 p.m. Friday.

The ceremony begins at 11 a.m. Saturday on Legislative Plaza. Some closures will remain in place into the early hours Sunday, the Tennessee Department of Homeland Security announced.

Free parking will be available to the general public and state employees in three state parking lots and one parking garage at the corners of Harrison Street and Rep. John Lewis Way.

Friday road closures in Nashville

  • 1st Avenue North between Church Street and Broadway will be closed from 5 p.m. Friday until 3 a.m. Sunday.

  • Northbound loading and carriage parking on 2nd Avenue North between Broadway and Commerce Street will be closed from 5 p.m. Friday until 3 a.m. Sunday.

Saturday road closures in Nashville

  • Ryman Alley closed between 4th Avenue North and Rep. John Lewis Way from 6 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday

  • Far right southbound lane on 4th Avenue North between Commerce Street and Broadway from 6 a.m. to 11 a.m.

  • Far right northbound lane closed on Rep. John Lewis Way between Broadway and Commerce Street from 6 a.m. to 11 a.m.

  • Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. closed between Rosa L. Parks Blvd. and Rep. John Lewis Way from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m.

  • Union Street closed between Rep. John Lewis Way and Rosa L. Parks Avenue from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. Controlled access for direct hotel access is allowed.

  • 7th Avenue North closed between Church Street and the Tennessee State Capitol from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. Controlled access for direct hotel/business access is allowed.

  • Anne Dallas Dudley Blvd. closed between Church Street and Union Street from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m.

  • 6th Avenue North closed between Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. and Union Street from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m.

  • Deaderick Street closed between Rep. John Lewis Way and 6th Avenue North from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m.

  • Northbound parking spaces closed on Belmont Blvd. between Compton Avenue and the Fisher Center loading dock from 12 a.m. to 11:59 p.m.
