30 years after their original reign in the Nashville rock scene, Chagall Guevara has reunited with a new album, and will play the Ryman Auditorium.

It's been a minute since Nashville rockers Chagall Guevara played a show. And by "a minute," we mean 30 years.

The band — featuring several accomplished musicians from the Christian rock realm, including frontman Steve Taylor — emerged in Music City at the start of the '90s.

Named for both artist Marc Chagall and revolutionary Che Guevara, the band scored a deal with MCA Records, which released their self-titled album in 1991. They earned a rave review in Rolling Stone, and a video for "Violent Blue" hit the MTV airwaves, but would officially disband just two years later.

Fans across the country who discovered the album, however, haven't forgotten, and they'll descend on Nashville's Ryman Auditorium this Saturday for a Chagall Guevara reunion concert — the band's first full show since 1992.

The reunion follows a successful Kickstarter campaign with more than 2,000 backers for the band to release two albums of live, unreleased and new studio recordings.

The band will be joined at the Ryman by Over The Rhine. The show starts at 8 p.m., and tickets, starting at $35, are available at ryman.com
