Nashville sports scene gets a well-deserved weekend off

Good Sunday morning! This is trending sports reporter Nick Gray, writing to you after the first fully warm week of the year.

We're in the in-between portion of the sports calendar in Nashville, but the Tennessean still has a lot of interesting sports stories this week.

The Predators were swept in four games to the Colorado Avalanche way back on Monday. (Beat reporter Paul Skrbina will have many more stories looking back at the season and looking forward to what direction the team may go this offseason.)

The Titans know their 2022 schedule, and while Titans beat reporter Ben Arthur's rookie minicamp highlight videos on Twitter and at Tennessean.com are the best you'll find, Malik Willis throwing against air is not quite Titans vs. Bills in prime time.

Tennessee and Vanderbilt baseball both have one more regular season series before the SEC Tournament, which comes the weekend before the NCAA Tournament starts. Almost there!

Nashville SC is right in the middle of its home-heavy portion of its schedule, and the matches at GEODIS Park look like a really fun time. Just ask Soccer Moses. But both Nashville SC and the Nashville Sounds are on the road this weekend.
