Looking to try the best delis in town?
Hoodline crunched the numbers to find the best affordable delis in Nashville, using both Yelp data and our own secret sauce to produce a ranked list of the best spots to venture when cravings strike.
1. Big Al's Deli
Topping the list is Big Al's Deli. Located at 1828 Fourth Ave. North in Salemtown, the deli and Southern spot is the highest-rated low-priced deli in Nashville, boasting five stars out of 333 reviews on Yelp.
Yelper Robyn J., who reviewed Big Al's Deli on Nov. 2, wrote, "Five stars on the service alone. Everyone was so helpful and friendly and really cared about our experience. This is why I love owner-operated places. The hot chicken omelet was delicious."
Jon H. noted, "I have eaten my way across this country, and nowhere have I ever beheld as special of a place in my heart as Big Al's. It is easily my favorite restaurant to ever exist."
2. InterAsian Market & Deli
Woodycrest's InterAsian Market & Deli, located at 2160 Nolensville Pike, is another top choice, with Yelpers giving the cheap deli and international grocery store, which offers sandwiches and more, 4.5 stars out of 96 reviews.
"Known to his friends and customers as 'Joy,' Keosavanah Xayarath co-founded InterAsian Market & Deli in 1994 with his wife Boonkheng," according to the bio section of the business's Yelp profile. "Keosavanah was born and lived in Laos. He has known his wife Boonkheng, who is Vietnamese, since she was eight years old."
Stop by for banh mi sandwiches, as well as a variety of Asian groceries.
Over in Lockeland Springs, check out Duke's, which has earned four stars out of 68 reviews on Yelp. Dig in at the bar and deli, which offers sandwiches and more, by heading over to 1000 Main St.
The bar serves up a variety of specialty sandwiches, including The Riley, which comes with Sausalito turkey, ham, swiss cheese, horseradish sauce, sriracha, onions and spinach.
