The unions representing New York City municipal employees are voicing their concerns about Mayor Bill de Blasio's announced return date for office workers of May 3.
- 34. Starting today, eligible New Yorkers can make vaccination appointments at the Nassau Coliseum. It is the county's first site to be operated by an outside contractor. More than 100 people were vaccinated there yesterday as part of a soft launch. At first, the site will vaccinate up to 400 people a day. Eventually, it will administer 1,000 shots a day.
- Johnson & Johnson says it will fulfill its promise to deliver 20 million doses to the federal government by the end of this month. It comes as the company is able to now increase production. The FDA has authorized global pharmaceutical manufacturer Catalent to produce the vaccine. Catalent currently fills and finishes the Johnson & Johnson and Moderna vaccines.
