NASSAU COUNTY, NY — The spread of the new coronavirus has slowed in New York, including on Long Island, though Nassau County has more cases than almost anywhere else in the state.

As of Sunday morning, there were 36,519 confirmed coronavirus cases in Nassau County and 1,745 deaths. Here are the number of cases for each community, based on the latest data available:
