Nate Oats updates injury status of Alabama basketball's Juwan Gary

Alabama basketball's Juwan Gary took an elbow to the face against LSU and did not return.

He might miss more time after suffering what Nate Oats called a facial contusion.

"Still pretty puffy." Oats said Friday.

Gary has not practiced and is considered day-to-day.

"Not sure that he will be able to play against Missouri but hopefully we'll have him back here pretty soon," Oats said.

Alabama (12-6, 3-3 SEC) will face Missouri (8-9, 2-3) for the second time this season at 5 p.m. on Saturday (SEC Network) at Coleman Coliseum.

The Crimson Tide is fresh off a 70-67 victory over No. 16 LSU. Gary was only able to play seven minutes in that game before taking the elbow to the face. He finished 0-for-2 with two rebounds and a block.

This season, the sophomore forward has averaged 8.2 points and 4.3 rebounds per game.
