Video Transcript

ZACH SCHWARTZ: All right, we are joined by Nate Robinson who will be fighting Jake Paul September 12 on the same card as the legend, Mike Tyson. Nate, how's it going? I got so many questions about this. How you been?

NATE ROBINSON: Been chilling, man, just getting ready.

LAJETHRO JENKINS: I know boxing shape is a little different from hoops shape, you know what I'm saying? I know you're a world class athlete, but has that surprised you? Like, what surprised you the most about boxing shape?

NATE ROBINSON: How much work they really put into it. And especially because, you know, it ain't like I have, like, six months to get ready for this like a normal fight. You know, they're asking me to fight him game within a month, not even a-- I don't even got too months full training. So yeah, that's been the hardest thing, is just trying to play catch up.

ZACH SCHWARTZ: Has it surprised you the number of people that have reached out to you since this got announced, saying, you know, piece this dude up, please sit him down? Like, what have you heard from people when they heard that you were going to fight Jake Paul?

NATE ROBINSON: It's a lot of different emotions, and I mean, a lot of different commentary that people were adding in. A lot of people are saying I'm gonna get knocked out, people don't think that I'm going to be-- I'm gonna last. So that's what I like listening to, I like listening to the doubters because that's what kind of gives me the motivation that I need to, you know, to prove people wrong.

LAJETHRO JENKINS: I know Mitch you said you're going to fight again. So this isn't a one time thing, this is something you want to do for serious.

NATE ROBINSON: Nah, I mean-- I mean, we'll see. I don't know, we'll see whoever's the next YouTuber. I mean, I hear-- I hear KSI, you know, of course we have internet, so it's easy to just look up people talking [BLEEP].

JOSIAH JOHNSON: Hey, not to look ahead, Nate, but do you think you could give KSI those hands and how many rounds would that go?

NATE ROBINSON: Man, I don't know, man, honestly, I just-- I'm trying to focus on this Jake character first, man. Trying let him, you know, like, you know, he has a right to be able to say some of the things that he's saying because I guess he's considered undefeated. But I told him, I said, you can't be undefeated when you ain't really fight nobody.

Like, I don't consider his challengers being, you know, I told him my son can beat their ass, like. But I ain't no [BLEEP]. You know what I'm saying? My mom, my daddy didn't raise no punk. And, you know, and I'mma show him. And I can't wait to be able to show him what, you know, I'm saying with the hard work and dedication and what it looks like and fighting a world class athlete. So hopefully, you know, everything can go the way it's supposed to.

ZACH SCHWARTZ: We had Jake on a few days ago. Nate Robinson, what's first thing that comes to mind for that.

JAKE PAUL: [BLEEP]

ZACH SCHWARTZ: Wow, OK.

NATE ROBINSON: He said [BLEEP]?

ZACH SCHWARTZ: Yeah.

JOSIAH JOHNSON: Exact words.

NATE ROBINSON: I just laugh, man, it's just funny, man. It's just-- oh, man. He has to put on a show, I mean, you know, he's a YouTuber. That's what the YouTubers do, they talk [BLEEP], they just say whatever the [BLEEP] they want, man. Just let your hands talk, bro. Because it's your mouth that's doing a lot. That's it.

I just-- I've been telling myself, you can talk all your trash.

ZACH SCHWARTZ: Did you happen to go on Twitter and see who paid a visit to Jake's Calabasas home this morning?

NATE ROBINSON: I really don't care, man. It really doesn't matter. Who was it-- like, Suge Knight popped up to his crib?

ZACH SCHWARTZ: No, dude, the FBI showed up at his house today.

JOSIAH JOHNSON: The feds showed up to his house.

NATE ROBINSON: Like, the heavy guy? Man, that's probably for publicity, man, who knows. That-- he probably scheduled that [BLEEP]. You know what I'm saying. I don't know, man. I hope everything goes according to plan, and he doesn't make me do all this work for nothing, and we can't fight because of that. Go investigate [BLEEP] after September 12. Like, do that [BLEEP ] after.

JOSIAH JOHNSON: The 13th.

NATE ROBINSON: Like, leave him alone until the 13th and then go [BLEEP].

JOSIAH JOHNSON: Trying to serve some hands, though.

ZACH SCHWARTZ: Nate, thank you again for joining us.

NATE ROBINSON: Thanks for having me.

ZACH SCHWARTZ: That fight is September 12, and we look forward to watching it and watching you hopefully give him the hands. We'll see.
