National Doughnut Day is here! Where to find free donuts, deals
National Doughnut Day is nearly upon us, and what better way to celebrate than with free or discounted doughnuts.
This foodie holiday has national chains and local stores alike swarmed with consumers craving doughnuts. In fact, Tadoughs in Pekin doesn't even offer discounts because they don't have enough staff to keep up with orders as is on National Doughnut Day.
Last year, Tadoughs sold more than 300 dozen doughnuts on this day in 2022 and already have over 100 pre-orders as of Wednesday morning for this year's event.
"For a small business, we do great around holidays. We really appreciate our customers," a Tadoughs representative said.

When is National Doughnut Day 2023?
National Doughnut Day occurs the first Friday in June every year. The celebration takes place on Friday, June 2, 2023.
When is National Donut Day 2023?
Surprise! There are actually two days each year where doughnut fans can celebrate their fascination for deep-fried dough. The only real differences between each doughnut "holiday" are spelling and date. The second celebration is on Nov. 5 each year.
Big Mike's Donuts and Coffee
Big Mike's will give a free "regular" doughnut with any purchase on June 2. There is a limit of one free doughnut per transaction.
Carl’s Bakery and Restaurant
Carl's doughnut deal is year-round as they have some of the lowest-priced doughnuts in the area. You can get a dozen glazed donuts made fresh daily from scratch for $13.
Casey's
Casey's Rewards members can grab a free doughnut when they a buy a donut on June 2. In addition, Casey's is offering rewards members deals throughout June. Every Tuesday, patrons can buy two regular donuts for $2 or two premium doughnuts for $3. On Saturdays, half dozens will be available for $4.49.
Dunkin Donuts
Patrons can grab a free classic donut with any beverage purchase on June 2.
Krispy Kreme
No purchase is necessary to score a free doughnut in stores or via the drive-thru on June 2. Additionally, buy a dozen doughnuts and get a dozen glazed doughnuts for just $2. The glazed dozen deal is also available online.
