Bobby Bower, Owner of Pro River Outfitters, said the New River Gorge National Park has drawn in many people.

“The national park designation has really brought a whole new group of people. The whitewater has been popular for decades. The rock climbing, mountain biking and all the other adventures activities in the New River Gorge has just blossomed,” said Bower.

Pro River Outfitters specializes in fishing trips and raft sales.

Bower says his business offers numerous water activities for tourists who come to check out the award-winning rafting scene.

“We do some jet boat fishing on the New and Gauley rivers. Pontoon boats on the Summersville lake as well as the float trips on the New River. We’re actually the only raft store in the eastern United States. A lot of tourists come and people figured out that you can buy your own raft and get out there every weekend” said Bower.
