National Night Out on Aug. 2; seventh Falls Downtown Friday on Aug. 5

Cuyahoga Falls Police Officer Ed Dennis invites children to visit with police K-9 DanC, at a past National Night Out event. This year's National Night Out event will be held in the City Hall and Natatorium parking lots from 4:30-7 p.m. on Aug. 2.

Mayor Don Walters announces that the city's National Night Out will be held Tuesday, Aug. 2, from 4:30 to 7 p.m.

The free event will be held, rain or shine, in the Cuyahoga Falls City Hall and Natatorium parking lots, 2310 Second St. Participants may enter the event off Fourth Street.

“National Night Out is an opportunity for our residents to come interact with our safety forces to continue to build stronger relationships, while enjoying a night of family fun on our City Hall campus,” stated Walters. “This annual event has continued to grow year over year and we are excited to welcome everyone back again in the spirit of building community.”

The Cuyahoga Falls Police Department, Mayor's Office, Parks and Recreation Department, Fire Department, and more will be represented at the family-friendly event. Guests will enjoy hot dogs, inflatables, music, games, canine demonstrations, and a chance to explore equipment from the Cuyahoga Falls Police Department and other area law enforcement agencies. The community is encouraged to come to meet the women and men of the safety forces.

Carlos Jones and The PLUS Band to headline Falls Downtown Friday Aug. 5

The seventh event of the 2022 Falls Downtown Fridays summer entertainment series held in Downtown Cuyahoga Falls is scheduled for Friday, Aug. 5, from 6 to 10 p.m. and will feature local music, craft beer, food, and family-friendly activities.

Radio partner 91.3 The Summit and local musical talent Matt Jackson will kick off the event from 6 to 7:30 p.m., followed by headliner Carlos Jones and The PLUS Band at 8 p.m.

Falls Downtown Fridays is presented by the city of Cuyahoga Falls, Western Reserve Hospital, Clear Gold Audio & Lighting, and Pilot Plastics. Beer will be provided by HiHO Brewing Company and Missing Mountain Brewing Company. The Cuyahoga Falls Rotary will be the nonprofit beneficiary of beer sales.

"As we near the end of our Falls Downtown Fridays events series for this season, I encourage everyone to come and enjoy all that Downtown Cuyahoga Falls has to offer,” stated Mayor Don Walters. "We are proud to remain committed to promoting local music, local art, and local food and craft breweries at all of our Falls Downtown Fridays events."
