Move over, California super bloom-another West Coast state is about to have a spectacular burst of wildflowers, and you won't want to miss it. Mount Rainier National Park, located just south of Seattle in Washington state, is preparing for a technicolor display of flowers set to hit the area in mid-July.

Already, wildflowers have begun to sprout in around Mount Rainier, a large active stratovolcano for which the park is named. This once-a-year phenomenon only happens for a limited time, reaching its peak in August.

Currently, different trails around the park are beginning to see the colorful blooms along their walkways. Lupine, Jeffrey’s shooting star, wild strawberries, and Calypso orchids are making appearances on trails like the Wonderland Trail. Starflower plants, white yellow violets, and salmonberries are beginning to sprout on the Longmire Trail.

Sold? Mount Rainier's tourism board has done much of the travel research for you, suggesting 10 different wildflower trails to hike through the National Park and see the best and brightest blooms. Personally, I'd recommend the traverse through Dege Peak-apparently, you'll be blessed with 360-degree views of the wildflowers. It's also an easy-to-hike beginner's summit, so it's perfect for those trying to see the phenomenon with children in tow.

Interested in seeing some tame wildlife? You may be able to spot a few mountain goats on the slopes above if you take the Glacier Basin Trail, according to the National Park Service. Don't forget to pack your camera!
