National Pizza Day: best pizza on the Western Slope

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KREX) — National Pizza Day is Feb. 9. For those looking to celebrate, WesternSlopeNow asked the community what their favorite local pizza place is. Out of the 26 businesses mentioned, here are the ones viewers liked the most.

The place with the most votes was Hot Tomato — 16 commenters said the Fruita-located restaurant was the best. One commenter said they have the “best crust and specialty pizza, hands down.” Another said their salads are “out of this world.” Two other commenters said they also have great staff.

Pablo’s Pizza was second with 14 comments. One commenter said they have “unique flavor combos that are super delicious” and even offered her four kids a “hunk of dough” to play with while they waited for their pizzas. Pablo’s has locations in Grand Junction and Fruita.

Junct’n Square was third with 9 comments. Commenters said their salads are “to kill for” and they have “just the right amount of ingredients on the pizza.” One commenter praised their ‘Antipasta’ salad.
