National sports bar with Hooters-style service plans expansion into Louisville area

A Texas-based sports bar chain says it's bringing the "coldest beer in the business" to the Louisville area.

Twin Peaks, a restaurant with Hooters-style service based out of Dallas, secured a land development agreement with JEB Food Group to open four locations in and around Louisville, according to a Thursday release from the company.

“JEB has been a fantastic franchisee and we’re excited to continue working with them to expand the Twin Peaks brand in the Louisville market and throughout the Ohio Valley,” said company CEO Joe Hummel. “The partners within JEB have been working in the real estate and restaurant industries for decades and they know how to tackle expansion quickly and effectively. Sports fans throughout Ohio and Kentucky will be thrilled to know that more scenic views are coming!”

The agreement with JEB Food Group, according to the release, is part of an effort to "expand more around Cincinnati and Columbus, while also growing in Louisville and southern Indiana."

A Twin Peaks restaurant is currently serving customers in Florence, Kentucky, but there are no locations open in Louisville. The release did not note where in the Louisville area the restaurants would open, and a company representative did not respond to a request for additional information.

Ed Williams, an investor with JEB Food Group, said in the release that guests "love the scratch-made food, ice-cold beer and the care they get from the Twin Peaks Girls," and officials "expect the same response as we venture closer to Louisville.

Twin Peaks offers TV coverage of every major sporting event as well as a vast selection of spirits including drafts, bourbon and tequila, according to the release, along with hand-smashed burgers, fried chicken and other popular bar food offerings. A staff of "friendly and attentive Twin Peaks Girls" work at the restaurant, according to the company.

Founded in 2005 by Randy DeWitt and Scott Gordon, Twin Peaks has more than 100 locations open in the U.S. and in Mexico.
