National tournament-bound Lady Jays send-off scheduled for Tuesday
Mar. 10—WORTHINGTON — Minnesota West Community and Technical College is planning a send-off ceremony for its national tournament-qualifying Lady Jays (27-4) women's basketball team on Tuesday.
The Lady Jays were selected as an at-large team in the Division III national tournament which begins on Wednesday in Rochester, Minnesota.
Minnesota West will hold a reception in their Worthington Campus commons area at 9 a.m. Following the reception, the team will load the bus at 10 a.m. and will take a route through residential areas of Worthington before leaving for the tournament.
Adult tickets for a full tournament pass is $30 and daily passes are $12. Student passes for the tournament can be purchased for $20, and daily passes for $8.
The Lady Jays' first game is against Northampton on Wednesday at 2 p.m. Minnesota West will be streaming the event live on Facebook and through the following Zoom link.
