Giarratana said this tornado was a brief touchdown around 9:04 a.m., about 50-yards wide, and caused only what he defined as "sporadic" damage and no injuries with 60 to 70 mile per hour winds.

He said the tornado touchdown was three miles north-northwest in Cape Coral between Trafalgar Parkway and Pine Island Road.

"Sometimes that can happen," Giarratana said about the late confirmation. "We find additional reports after, you know, five days to a week after the event, just based on video and the damage that occurred."
