Wreaths Across America remembrance wreaths will be laid on gravesites across the nation this Saturday to remember the fallen, teach the next generation about the value of freedom, and honor those who serve as well as their families.

This special day of remembrance is made possible by Wreaths Across America partners, volunteers, drivers and supporters. Each wreath is hand-crafted of all-American balsam and hand-tied with a red velvet bow in Columbia Falls, Maine. Wreaths are sent to participating locations where volunteers place them on markers of fallen heroes.

Wreaths Across America’s mission is to place wreaths on the graves of military service members buried in national cemeteries. The nonprofit organization founded the event to continue and expand the annual wreath-laying ceremony at Arlington National Cemetery which was initiated by Maine businessman Morrill Worcester in 1992.
