Two new stores opened recently at the Outlets of Des Moines in Altoona, giving the discount shopping center seven openings this year with two more in the works.
Nautical-inspired American apparel brand Nautica's outlet store opened on Aug. 12 and casual clothing retailer Aéropostale, which is popular among teens and young adults, opened on Aug. 19.
Nautica's new outlet shop is its only stand-alone store in the Des Moines area, although Von Maur, Cabana Swim and Marshalls also carry the brand locally. Aéropostale has another store at Jordan Creek Town Center in West Des Moines.
Bizzy's Boutique, Puma, Rue21, Windsor and J.Crew Factory have also opened this year at the 5-year-old outlet mall, where Forever 21 and Victoria's Secret are expected to open later this year.
Outlets of Des Moines, 801 Bass Pro Drive, Altoona; 515-380-7400. Open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday and from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday.
