Navarre man sentenced to 25-year prison term, registered as sex offender for child assault

The State Attorney's Office announced Tuesday that a Santa Rosa County judge sentenced a Navarre man to 25 years in prison for molesting a 9-year-old child.

Circuit Court Judge Darlene Dickey sentenced Michael Joseph Bouley to a 25-year prison sentence and designated him as a sexual predator after he was found guilty Sept. 15 of lewd or lascivious molestation and transmitting harmful materials to a minor.

"On Feb. 18, 2020, the Santa Rosa County Sheriff's Office responded to a call regarding a child molestation," a State Attorney's Office news release stated. "Deputies learned that the nine-year-old victim had been shown pornographic video by the defendant and that he also forced the victim to touch him."

In addition to the 25-year sentence, Bouley will spend his life designated as a sex offender.
